The scenic Elk River and its tributary, Big Sugar, are a favorite float destination with canoeists. They also provide excellent camping and fishing. The Pineville to Noel float is best in mid- to late summer. You'll find unobstructed rapids, regular waves and easy eddies.

Difficulty: Mostly class II, seldom over.
Day Trips: 4 to 15 miles
Overnight Trips: 15 to 30 miles

All of our float trips start upstream and you float back to your car or camp. No waiting at the end of your trip.

The rivers

The Elk River and its scenic tributary, Big Sugar Creek, are favorite Missouri float streams. There's excellent camping and fishing and both are unusually clear streams. The Elk below Noel is secluded and beautiful. Indian Creek is great for spring floats and has one of the best gradients in the Ozarks. It's a good, steady, fast run through undisturbed countryside. Call for details.

Group discounts available Sunday through Friday and before Memorial Weekend or after Labor day. Please call.
