No glass in campground or on river! |
Our Facilities
2 Campgrounds No lifeguard on duty. Swim on beach area only. The scenic Elk River and its tributary, Big Sugar, are a favorite float destination with canoeists. They also provide excellent camping and fishing. The Pineville to Noel float is best in mid- to late summer. You'll find unobstructed rapids, regular waves and easy eddies. Difficulty: Mostly class II, seldom over. All of our float trips start upstream and you float back to your car or camp. No waiting at the end of your trip. Pineville to Noel (Wayside) Pineville to Elk River Campground Elk River Campground to Wayside Wayside Campground is equipped with 98 RV sites with 30 amp electrical service and water. 32 of these sites have sewer service. Lots of pull-throughs. Elk River Campground has 32 RV sites with 30 amp electrical service and water at each site. Tent camping is welcome in all areas at both campgrounds. Camping is first come, first serve BUT with canoe or raft reservations we guarantee a campsite to accomodate your group. Pick your own camping site on arrival; we do not assign sites. Lots of grassy areas and shade! Camping right on the water's edge, with water on 3 sides of our campground. Shower facilities available at no additional charge or shower facilities included in camping fee. Grand Lake, Oklahoma The Elk River and its scenic tributary, Big Sugar Creek, are favorite Missouri float streams. There's excellent camping and fishing and both are unusually clear streams. The Elk below Noel is secluded and beautiful. Indian Creek is great for spring floats and has one of the best gradients in the Ozarks. It's a good, steady, fast run through undisturbed countryside.
